Well the way I've been getting around has been the bus and with it being May it's ride for free month for the Vallyride system. If you need help on where and when a bus is nearest to you I can try and help you.

Unfortunantly most the staff lives in Boise, so I dunno if there is anyone who can really facilitate a ride for you. When my van is emptyed out I will be puttung the seat back into it so that should allowe me to at least occasionaly give you rides to meetings, depending on my fuel situation.  Gas prices are going insane at the moment... Not even summer yet and there already up to three dollars most places.

I just watched a Mythbusters where they discovered a regular, unmodified unleaded fuel car can run on pure Hydrogen, and that a unmodified diesel car can run on used, filtered (to get the food particles out) vegetable oil.

That's insane to me.

A filter/strainer, an old water heater, a pump capable of moving light oils, some methanol, Red Devil Lye, a kitchen blender and a few pieces of laboratory glassware.

Those are the basic tools with which you can turn used vegetable oil into biodiesel that'll work better than petrodiesel in any diesel engine.

The methanol and lye take some care and precautions to handle, but after the oil is processed, it's totally non-toxic, though you really don't want to try cooking with it...

Try simply entering

biodiesel waterheater

into Yahoo for all the info you need on making your own. Now if only someone would come up with a simple way to refine it into gasoline!

Thank you for your suggestions. i would be willing to pay for gas if only i could get to meetings. like the security meeting tomorow for instance.

Oh and the bio fuel idea would be grand if only we had the supplies nessisary and the vehicles to test it in. meh itll be done one day but for now we suffer the tyrany of gas guzzlers.

I could give people rides, but only on Wednesdays and Thursdays, which doesn't work out for most of the meetings.
