Alright everyone, I've been working on refining CC, and a couple of thing for everyone to know who is planning on competing. the currert limit is 24 players, 12 teams total, Please have your team ready. For reasons out of my control there is a Age limit of 13 or older. The system is being improved and redevelopt. FCCP: Nightmares will also have a storyline background so be ready for some cool stuff.
Now for anyone who want to share ideas and opinions feel free to post them. Now I'm off to work...
Updates: New title

Thought I'd add to this, since I'm the guy who designed the new system and am very much helping run things. ^^
Here's the update on the actual plot. And yes, we HAVE a real plot, not some generic "plot" that has very little to do with anything.
Something horrible has happened, and the effects are rippling throughout the cosmos. The terrible Soul Edge has found itself a powerful host, and Cloud Strife is slowly being consumed by the power of the Soul Edge, turning into a monster. With his own anguish over failing his friend Zack overcoming him, Cloud is losing himself to the Soul Edge, manipulated by an unknown force to bring chaos to the universe. Summoned by their gods and deities, heroes are called upon to stop this horrible force from spreading, while villains seek to take the power of the Soul Edge for themselves. Now battling each other in order to reach where Cloud is being kept during his terrible transformation, these warriors will be tested in strength, skill, and intelligence as they brave the horrors of the Dark Arena, each one with their own purpose. But in the end, the battle will be the same; the nightmare that is consuming Cloud, and the horrible entity which has caused this terror to be born.
It is advised that you have have your teammate picked before you sign up, so that the process of setting teams goes much smoother. Email me or Hound for details on working your teams and character into some of the on-site plot, such as character motivations and intent in the battle. We may possibly have a "battle of the team-mates" that will be a plot battle only and not reflect on the judging if the inter-character plotlines develope right. Since we're getting three hours for FCCP: Reloaded, we have enough time for some solo matches for people who just plain can't find a partner. More details will be posted as they develope.

So does that mean that Hound/Cloud will be the Boss? Interesting!

Yes, though there's two bosses, possibly three. We'll have Nightmare Cloud, the entity controlling him, and possibly a guardian that the players have to face to get to Cloud and his master. As noted, there may also be a battle between the members of the surviving team, depending on how the intercharacter plot stuff works out. Oh, and we're discussing the possibility of "cutscenes", since we should have time for a few plot moving scenes to be played out. Players are encouraged to get together with us for discussing involvement in that. ^^ I'm right now working on a FCCP: Nightmares section, I have a beta ready for giving players the basics and info for signing up in advance, but I wann'a tweak it some more so it's not plain and not so much like Jeremy's AO Battle Cosplay section...the trouble in working with raw code is that it takes a bit more time, but damn, I know I'm getting what I want! ^^ Edit: We;ll I wann'a let people know what's going on, so here a very beta version of the FCCP:R site, with the run down, story outline, and rules and such as well as contact info for advance sign-ups. Right now, it would be best to contact both of us so Justin and I can work out how to do certain characters. Combat Cosplay: Nightmares

Then you'd want a boffer combat, not a RPG style cosplay combat.
BTW, FCCP:R site updated. It's nice hosting the section on my own site server. ^^

3 hours is a looong time guys. most people can only stand about 1 hour 30 mins to 2 hours for an event. i sugest shortening it by at least an hour, i know it sound like a lot, but i think it'd help a ton.

Ok I've got a few questions...
1. What are the reasons for the 13 & Up age restriction? Because I have made no such rule for FCCP, being that its a non-contact event.
2. Your getting 3 hours for FCCP:R??? No one has even disccused this with me, and since I am currently the head of event cordination as well as Chairman of Fandemonium that just might be a good idea to do so.
3. FCCP ran for 4 and a 1/2 hours this year, causing it to run over more than 7 panels & events. 5 of which I was able to reschedule elsewhere and requiered the cancelization of one event the Multi-Fandom Trivia Contest and one Panel, of which the panelist willing gave up her time slot so that FCCP could continue. That was very unfare to those panelists and individuals running events that they had to be shuttled off into other rooms or have there events canceled.
So the continued existance of FCCP relys upon the event being able to be run within a time table and to be considerably more fast paced to keep people from becoming bored, as the commen resoponse I heard from most participants was that "it was fun at first, but after X amount of hours its boring. But well I guess I have to keep playing because I signed up for it.". No event at Fandemonium should feel like a chore to the participants. That is not the point of Fandemonium.
I must also agree with Brandon on this one 3hrs is much longer than the standard human attention span will withstand. I am more than willing to let FCCP continue as it has the potential to be an extreamly fun event. But before that I would like to talk to both of you, I like the idea of a back story, I also have a few idea that will considerably speed up the event. But like all Fandemonium events for the 2006 Fandemonium it will have to be play tested well beforehand, giving a chance for those running it to make adjustments to the system.
I apologise if this sounds harsh, but it is what is requiered to make it fun and balanced and fit into the complex structer of Fandemonium. There are a lot of events each year and its my job to see to it that they all run on time and are fun for those who participate.

Yes, you guys, this idea rocks big time! don't get either of us wrong, I've never seen a combat event with such a cool plot. I'm really excited for it, and I'm really looking forward to judging it! I believe all Borneo is trying to do is help you make this the best event ever. So kindly take his criticism constructivly and keep up with the the good work, it's really sounding great!

-Borneo I was just going off of what I had been told from Link Harkanian as to time that we had been given, I had no idea that it had not been ran by you, sorry. I'm not trying to cuase trouble for you or fandemonium, I'm more then willing to talk things over with you ether at the next meeting I can make or the Halloween party which ever comes first. I'll modife what I need to, to make it run faster. I to wasn't very happy that it over ran the time limit, I have planned new rules to prevent delays as to that is why it over ran it's time limit, I have planned to drop the max number of players from 36 to 24. I'm already planning to play test the event over the next 9 1/2 months before the next fandemonium. I hope to straten everything out as soon as possible. Once again I aplogize for this misshap. Yes, you guys, this idea rocks big time! don't get either of us wrong, I've never seen a combat event with such a cool plot. I'm really excited for it, and I'm really looking forward to judging it! Good to hear, It's right now a work in progress. Also I always welcome what ever help I can get. And I fully understand where Borneo is coming from.

Greetings Everybody,
I sorry I haven't posted anything around Combat Cosplay for a while, A long While. The Event is still a go, and I have refined the system so that it's smooth, Fast, and fair. Also we have a minor plot this year that'll hopefully explode the Fun and Entertiment Factors. I'm sure that some of you may be worried about It could be a repeat of last year... With the event going on way to far out of it's time slot and/or have to go into a mode of fast kill. Well no worries that's why I've refined the dice system. I also have some cool prizes planned for the Event. This year's Combat Cosplay will be Xtreme.
